Texture creation:

1. One of the best tools around for creatiing stunning Bryce materials is part of Bryce itself, you'll probably guess it, it's the Deep Texture Editor (DTE).
2. One of my favorite stand alone texture creation utilities is REPTILE, which is available for free.
3. Also a free goodie is Ulead's ART TEXTURE Plugin.
4. Last but not least: Most of the common grahpic programs come with useful texture/effects plugins. Just play around...

Viewers/Converters:

1. My personal favorite for viewing 3 d files is 3D EXPLORER which reads almost all of the common 3d file formats.
2. CROSSROADS let you easily convert 3d file formats.
3. If you need a quick and easy program to split up video files into single bitmaps, give FAST MOVIE PROCESSOR a try.
