Rendering Greyscales
Want to do something different in Bryce?
First create a new image in your favorite editing program. A size of 512x512 should be large enough.Apply a filter to that image. this could look like this:
Save the image an fire up Bryce. Create a new terrain and swith to the terrain editor. From the pictures tab load the image you have just created into both preview thumbnails, click apply.
Set the terrain resolution as high as you like, or your machine can handle.
Apply a material to the terrain, in most cases a metal texture will work fine. Setup the camera so that you look directly from the top down to the terrain. If the picture looks to dark in the preview window, add a radial light.
Set the render options to fine art. Get a couple of coffees and render to disc. You can get some real cool pictures this way.
