Truespace Fire

Animated Fire

You need a program like Fast Movie Processor to follow this tutorial.
This program "split's" up an avi-sequence into single pictures.
Find (a royalty free) movie file of a nice fire or explosion.
After you've started the program choose the movie-file you want to extract. Extract the movie in one seperate directory. Be sure that the copyright of the movie-file allows this manipulation.
You have now a directory full of (for example 60 ) pictures, for example fire0.tga up to fire59.tga .
Now fire up truespace and build (or load) the object you want to apply the effect to.
In the animation control be sure that you are at frame 0 and auto-record is unchecked.
